Old Sugar Distillery
Old Sugar Distillery in Madison, Wisconsin produces hand-made, high quality spirits. Their name stems both from the use of sugar as a base for many of the products, and from Madison’s history of beet sugar production. Their spirits are made in-house, from beginning to end, using a modified direct fire pot-still. Direct fire causes some caramelization during the distillation process, allowing for more robust and flavorful final distillate. Most Old Sugar spirits are finished by aging in American Oak barrels coopered in Minnesota.
OLD SUGAR DISTILLERY Queen Jennie Sorghum Whiskey
Distilled from 100% Wisconsin grown & made sorghum syrup. Aged in small, charred Minnesota oak barrels. Less sour than a bourbon, less harsh than a rye.
