We are just starting to work with Workhorse, and most of Rob Easter’s releases are limited. While Easter works on a new label for the Rye, we have some bottles of the scarce releases of his Modern Ancient, a dramatic mix of traditiional and contemporary.
MODERN ANCIENT Bolita Bellatove An ancient pink corn from the central valley of Oaxaca, close to extinct before Easter and others revived it. MODERN ANCIENT Ute Blue Heirloom blue corn of the Ute Mountain Ute tribe harvested near Four Corners with a dash of Tibetan purple barley harvested near Phoenix. 4 years in used oak. Clean and mineral, lingering flavor. 750ML 52% abv $99
MODERN ANCIENT Floriani Red Corn “Old Bourbon Mash Blend” 50% Floriani red corn, 25% Grass Valley heirloom rye, 25% malted Sonoran wheat. Ingredients aged 3-7 years in used first-fill oak casks from noted distilleries. Beautifully layered. Incredible whiskey at cask strength 750ML 60% abv $440
