Germain-Robin Perfection No. 1 French Colombard from an old-vine planting along the Russian River in the center of the Ukiah valley. The soil is deep and silty with lots of clay, the river-deposit soil type that makes cognac from the Borderies so rich in fruit. Colombard distillate has great body. A single barrel so perfect that we thought it a crime to blend it. A mid-90s release. One bottle only.
