MAISON SURRENNE 1946 Cognac (Ltd. Old & Rare Offering)

28 years of bottle aging will have enriched this cognac. It was distilled in 1946, known as one of cognac’s best vintages, by a grower/distiller from his own Grande Champagne planting. Tiffon aged it in a small tun; this was bottled in 1998 when Wine & Spirits Mag named it “Cognac of the Year”. There are very, very few cognacs as good: normally, long aging diminishes the fruit flavor, but not here: it’s very rich.  3 bottles only.
